The fire and security division of Northport is dedicated in ensuring that internal and external parties that come into/use Northport adhere to all port safety rules and regulations.
This division focuses on two things, safety and security. Safety includes dangerous goods and general safety. For dangerous goods, the staff of this division must be on deck when dangerous goods are being loaded or discharged in order to ensure that all procedures and protocols related to dangerous goods are duly followed.
Security involves the usage of CCTVs and patrol car units (among other things) to ensure that the port is secure at all times. The equipment mentioned are used to keep things in check while the port police are in charge of ensuring that security within the port in not breached.
