Northport has its own fire fighting & rescue services unit to carry out normal fire prevention and fire fighting tasks, shipboard fire fighting and identification of hazardous material within the port area. The fire fighting & rescue unit also provides ambulance services, search and rescue operations on both land and sea and conducts training for both internal and external parties.
