Shariah – the totality of Allah’s commands that regulates the life of every Muslim in all aspects. Every Muslim is responsible for his actions and Shariah gives true prospective of this right and duties.

One of the most important principles of Shariah is Maslahah or general welfare that is to secure the welfare of humanity, physically, morally and spiritually in this world and hereafter.

This notion was outlined in the following verses of the Quran:

• Al – Anbia: 107
  “We sent thee not, but as a mercy for all creates”.
   
• Yunis: 57
  “O mankind! There hath come to you direction from your Lord and healing for the (diseases) in your hearts and for those who believe, a guidance and a mercy’.
