Liquid bulk is a commodity carried in specially built vessels (i.e.tankers), loaded and unloaded via pipelines. Type of cargo calling Northport includes liquid chemicals, petroleum products and crude oil.
The terminal has a total of four berths with a total quay length of 0.8km and has an annual capacity of 4.1 million fwt, with a maximum depth alongside 11.5 metres. The terminal can accommodate vessels of up to 60,000 tonnes in displacement. The cargoes are efficiently discharged with a maximum rated capacity of up to 320 tonnes per hour.
